Art Museum Day – The Value of Museums

Mint Museum Charlotte

This year, Art Museum Day will be held on May 18th from 10:00-6:00 at the Mint Museum in uptown Charlotte.  Admission is being charged as “pay what you wish”, and the donations will support the Mint museum’s “priceless artistic treasures” being more accessible to the larger community and educational programming.

The Art Museum Day is a great way for people to show their appreciation for museums, because sometimes we forget the amazing value that museums bring to our community.  The Mint Museum, an internationally renowned institution, “is a unique gathering place for people to experience art through significant and varied collections, engaging exhibitions and innovative educational programs”.  The museum is also valuable to the community because they are committed to encouraging the understanding of diversity and respect for how it impacts and shapes everyone.

The Mint Museum Uptown was completed in 2010. A&K Painting Company is proud to have been a part of the Rodgers Builders team completing the Mint Museum Café project.

“You can’t buy the art, but you can take it with you.”
